Relieve Acute and Chronic Pain with Physiokey

Tried everything to relieve pain?

If you have been looking for answers for your pain then you have probably tried most things. Doctors, specialists, chiropractors, physiotherapists, massage, acupuncture, the list goes on. You may have had injections or even surgery. Yet, you are still in pain.

A new approach to treating pain.

Hi, I'm Gregg Wyatt, owner and therapist at N S Pain Therapy.

At N S Pain Therapy, Tweed Heads South, we understand the frustration and limitation pain places upon our bodies. Our focus is on enabling you to get 'back into life' and participate in your normal activities as quickly as possible.

Our approach is different. Firstly our treatment is gentle. No pushing or pulling, twisting or cracking, needles or injections. And secondly, and more importantly, no medication.

Our therapy is a non-invasive, interactive, neuro-stimulation. The device we use is called 'physiokey'. Phsyiokey is a form of electrotherapy and for more than 15 years our clinic has been using this type of technology to bring relief to both acute, and chronic painful conditions. It truly is an amazing technology.

How does our therapy work?

Physiokey interacts with the body. Through applying the device to the skin we are able to locate problem areas that don't always show with other therapies. The result of physiokey interacting with the body is a release of neuropeptides and other chemical messengers. The release of these chemicals is what stimulates relief from pain and other beneficial actions upon the body.

The Application of Key Therapy (Physiokey)

The process of Key Therapy.
  1. An impulse is applied through skin contact.
  2. Stimulation happens through neural pathways.
  3. The 'response reaction' is measured by the physiokey within microseconds.
  4. The next impulse application is adapted to this 'body response'.
Key Therapy: conversing with your body.

The adaptive and regulatory way in which the physiokey works is produced by constant skin and tissue resistance measurements. As a result, each signal individually adapts to the actual state of the body. The form and duration of the therapy is regulated by the patient themselves. The effect on the vegetative nervous system and thus on the body's own adjustment and regulatory processes strengthens the body's defence and shows the body a route to self-healing.

More than 80% of patients notice a significant change in their symptoms after treatment. Users report an improvement in the tensile state of the muscles. Reduction of soft tissue swelling could be observed in a large number of patients. Here, it is likely that there is a quicker lymph drainage as a result of the special impulse technology.

MORE ENERGY & MOTIVATION

It's amazing how you can feel once the pain has gone. Your body can get back to doing what it does best.

What's stopping you? Isn't it time you got your life back?

Are there any contraindications?

Physiokey has a wide range of applications. The primary focus of its use in our clinic is pain relief, and the improvement and recovery of function. As with any therapy there may be contraindications.

Phsyiokey therapy must not be used in the following situations:

  • On-demand-type cardiac pacemaker, or other electrically powered implant
  • Electrode placement over known malignant tumours
  • Use over open wounds
  • Patients prone to seizures
  • Alcohol intoxication
  • Pregnancy

The physiokey, a hand-held, non-invasive interactive neurostimulation device is registered with the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG ID 230724)

Are there any side effects?

Physiokey therapy is extremely low in side effects. However, the following illustrations could be considered as side effects.

During treatment, symptoms may intensify as the body “dynamises”. In individual cases, this may be accompanied by increased pain, sore muscles and other reactions. However, these usually subside after a short time. If they last longer, interrupt the application for a few days, talk with your therapist. If you have further concerns then we encourage you to consult a health professional.

Like all metals, the steel of the interchangeable electrodes of the physiokey contain traces of nickel. If you have a strong nickel allergy, skin irritation may occur.

What to expect after your physiokey treatments

The way your body responds to a physiokey treatment varies with every individual. One person can feel energetic and pain free whilst another may feel tired and washed out. The time it takes for a change to occur also varies widely depending on the health, age, and complaint of the individual. You may feel an immediate change during the treatment or shortly afterwards. Others may feel change over the coming days. It is even possible that you may feel no change whatsoever.

On some occasions you may feel worse before you feel better. This is not that uncommon. Even though it is generally only for a short period of time it may feel uncomfortable or even concerning. If you are concerned in any way about what you are experiencing then it is highly recommended that you contact your therapist to discuss your condition.

What makes us unique?

Our therapy is suitable for young and old alike, but in particular it is highly suitable for the elderly due to its gentle nature and ease of application. At N S Pain Therapy we can treat according to your ability, so if you can't lie down or get out of a wheelchair we can still treat you.

We allow time to listen and determine the best way forward for your condition. There is no rushing. We want you to feel welcome and understood. Everybody has a story to be told, and it is important that we listen, understand, and determine what your desired expectation is. We want to be part of your journey and arrive at the common goal together.

Physiokey therapy is a great alternative to chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, physiotherapy and other similar therapies that are used to treat pain. It can also be an excellent complementary therapy to these as well.

Why not give us a call and experience the benefits of physiokey therapy first hand.

In desperation my husband began to search the internet looking for something or someone to give me relief – WE FOUND GREGG and SCENAR/Physiokey Therapy.

I walked out of my first treatment with so much relief I couldn’t believe it!! It only took a couple of treatments before I was pain free.

Kay R

After 4 treatments the pain significantly subsided. The pain from the damaged nerves in my neck and related soft tissue injury in particular responded almost immediately and I could not really believe the affect it was having in reducing the pain.
