What to Wear for Electrotherapy

What should i wear for electrotherapy

Many people aren't aware that the clothing they wear for their electrotherapy appointment may hinder the treatment. At N S Pain Therapy we always try to keep your body covered and work around your clothing if possible. We use appropriate draping when required but you can assist with your treatment by wearing loose fitting clothing. Dresses are not appropriate. A loose fitting top and pants is much more suitable.

7 Tips on Appropriate Clothing to Wear?

If you have never had an physiokey treatment before then here are some guidelines. Generally speaking these guidelines apply mainly to women. We use appropriate draping with towels if we require you to remove any clothing. You will never be asked to remove underwear.

Wear loose fitting clothing. It is preferred to keep you fully dressed if possible

Wear a separate top and bottom. Dresses are inappropriate

You may be asked to remove footwear

You may be asked to remove jewellery, watches, etc

If we are working on your back in a sitting position then we will provide you with a loose fitting button up blouse that can be worn backwards

Underwear must be worn at all times

If you have long hair then we may ask you to tie it back
